2026 WTA Call on Washington D.C.

Description

Each year, WTA hosts an annual Call on Washington (COW), where members travel to Washington, D.C. to meet with the Washington Congressional Delegation. 

Join the WTA for the 2026 COW November 17th & 18th, 2026 for an opportunity to engage with Washington’s elected officials on specific trucking issues and to work closely with our national affiliate, American Trucking Associations. This is a unique chance for our members to see the inner workings of the legislative process at the federal level and to build relationships with their elected members of Congress.

Tentative Schedule

• Monday, November 16
  • Arrive in Washington, D.C., anytime
• Tuesday, November 17
  • 11:00 a.m. – U.S. Department of Transportation
  • 3:00–6:00 p.m. – Briefing and reception at ATA Headquarters
  • 6:00–8:00 p.m. – Group dinner, location TBD
• Wednesday, November 18
  • 8:00 a.m. – Meet at ATA’s Capitol Hill office
  • 8:30 a.m. – Congressional visits begin—comfortable shoes are recommended!
  • 5:00–6:00 p.m. – Reception at ATA’s Capitol Hill office
  • Dinner arrangements TBD
• Thursday, November 19
  • Depart Washington, D.C.
